Abstract

The article presents a basic information about indoor environmental problems concentrated on two main topics: i) sources of the indoor air polluting compounds ( including also the indoor chemistry)( and ii) factors influencing the amount and composition of environmentally undesirable compounds. Special attention has been paid to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and to their concentrations in residential and administrative indoor environment.
